For those that know me (and for those who are new to me), I truly love nothing more than hearing the pop of the cork of a bottle of bubbles. I love bubbles any day of the year, but you can imagine how my heart sings on New Year's Eve!
2020 - new year, new decade and a new world for me. After building our real estate investment business for the past two decades, I decided I'd been balancing with one foot on the career ladder and one on the property ladder for long enough. So I’ve made the decision to step away from my leadership role with SANS to focus my time on our real estate business and my foray into prosperity coaching. I'm so flipping excited to delve into my passion further and share the knowledge we've worked so hard to build, to share what I know with other great people and ensure that no woman (or man) ever feels stuck in a life, career or relationship that doesn't make them absolutely crazy happy each day.
This was not a decision made lightly or quickly. It took time to sort a plan with the least disruption and most support for the teams and employees I had grown to care for. I was heads down in that exercise so didn't get to reach out to many people. I thought I would write this update to you all, which also serves to help me reach out to many of you I haven't spoken to in quite a while. I am so glad you are reading this and hope we can chat soon, especially if I can help you reach your dreams.
So what happens when you reach your "Freedom Day' and leave the corporate world behind?
Darcy and I kicked off the year in Niagara Falls speaking about our journey at an event hosted by Scott MacGillivray and Michael Sarraccini (of HGTV and Keyspire fame) to a crowd of real estate investors and professionals. We have a full schedule of events to attend already this spring and I will be speaking next in New York (March 15), followed by San Diego and a couple Canadian cities in April.
I've built a great new coaching program called The Upgrade Method, meant to enable those who want to upgrade their lives to learn more about Mindset, Money and Making it happen. The program starts March 23 and I'd love for you to consider joining. If you have friends, colleagues, wives or daughters who would benefit, please invite them to consider it as well. Everyone deserves to use their choices and voices to create big, rich, prosperous lives. Sometimes this is just easier to do with a bit of financial security to support us. And as I've recently seen, the paycheque stops the day you leave a job, yet real estate investments continue to grow with time.
